Competition Rules
1) The promoter of the competitions provided by the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites is Myriad.
2) All competitions provided by the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites are games of skill, and therefore DO NOT constitute lotteries, or gaming.
3) Entry is open to anyone who agrees to, and complies with the demands of, these terms and conditions. Utilisation of the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites or entry to any of the competitions promoted by these websites automatically implies acceptance of and compliance with these terms and conditions.
4) Anyone under the age of 18 years is prohibited from entry into competitions provided by Guessapicture.com or Guessapicture.co.uk.
5) Employees of Guessapicture.com, Guessapicture.co.uk or Myriad, and their family members, are prohibited from entry into competitions provided by Guessapicture.com or Guessapicture.co.uk.
6) Anyone from a jurisdiction deeming entry to competitions such as those provided by Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk to be illegal, are prohibited from entry into the competitions provided by Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk.
7) It is the individual user’s responsibility to determine whether they are eligible to utilise the services provided by Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk and act accordingly. All illegal or ineligible entries will be deemed null and void by Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk). Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) takes no responsibility for illegal or ineligible entries, or any consequences, legal or otherwise, resulting from such entries.
8) The aim of the competition provided by Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk is to guess the identity of the object displayed on the specified location of the website(s) at the time the guess is made.
9) Each specified picture will remain the subject of the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk competition until it is correctly guessed, or replaced or removed at the discretion of Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk).
10) The first eligible person to correctly guess the identity of the object in the specified picture displayed, to the judges’ satisfaction, will be deemed the winner of that particular round of the competition.
11) Guesses will be judged on a regular basis against the correct answer, until a guess is deemed to be correct.
12) A guess must conform to the EXACT WORDING required by the judges to constitute a correct answer.
13) Following a correct guess being accepted, a new picture will be displayed on the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites and at this point a new competition will begin.
14) Due to the periods of time between adjudication sessions, sometimes a competition picture may remain on the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites for a period of time after a correct guess has been received. In this case, any and all guesses submitted chronologically later than the correct answer will be deemed to be null and void without warning, irrespective of whether they are correct or incorrect.
15) To enter the competitions provided by the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites, contestants must enter their name, a valid email address and their guess into the boxes provided, and click on the submit icon.
16) Contestants may make a maximum of one guess per hour. Any attempt to make further guesses before the expiry of an hour since their last guess will result in the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites blocking such an attempt.
17) The prize awarded for each picture competition is variable and will be determined at the sole discretion of Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk). Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) reserves the right to alter or withdraw the prize offered at any time, with or without notice.
18) Adjudication of winners and allocation of prizes will be determined at the sole discretion of Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) and no correspondence will be entered into. In the event of any dispute regarding the winner, or identity of the object in the specified picture concerned, the decision of the Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
19) Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) reserves the right to demand and utilise the name, locality and image of winners for promotional purposes, as a condition of receipt of allocated prizes.
20) Prizes will be awarded electronically using Paypal. To receive their prize, each winner must have a fully operational Paypal account capable of accepting payments from Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk). Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) takes no responsibility for the failure of any individual winner's Paypal account to receive prizes sent from our Paypal account, or the failure of any individual winner's Paypal account to receive prizes sent from our Paypal account in a timely fashion.
21) Upon entry to competitions provided by the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites all participants will be sent one email informing them of whether or not they are a winner. Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) takes no responsibility for any failure of these emails to arrive, or arrive promptly. Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) reserves the right to send one email of this type for every guess made, irrespective of whether a participant elects to unsubscribe from all other email communications prior to receiving this email.
22) Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) reserves the right to send periodical email communications to all entrants of competitions provided by the Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk websites. All email communications of this kind sent by Guessapicture.com, Guessapicture.co.uk or Myriad will contain the facility to unsubscribe from such communications.
23) Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) will NOT sell, distribute or divulge participant’s email addresses to any third party.
24) If any winner fails to respond to an email confirming their win within a period of 30 days following the date of this email being sent, then Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) reserves the right to reallocate their prize through addition to the prize fund of the present competition. This will be done at the sole discretion of Myriad (Guessapicture.com & Guessapicture.co.uk) and no correspondence will be entered into.
